EU awaits enactment of the Anti-Corruption Court Ukraine

The law should be adopted by mid-June

This is stated in a reply to the request of the EU agency “Interfax-Ukraine” on the preparation of the bill.

According to the commitments undertaken by Ukraine to the International Monetary Fund, Parliament should pass a law establishing the Anti-Corruption Court to mid-June 2017.

In the EU Delegation to Ukraine said that international experts have prepared proposals for the bill and help the Ukrainian government to develop this document. It is noted that the experts paid special attention to the interaction of the new trial to the existing judicial system and procedure of selection of judges.

In diplomatic mission stressed that the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Court is of particular importance for the stability and success in the fight against corruption.

Recall that the Minister of Justice Pavel Petrenko last year announced the establishment of anticorruption Supreme Court.
