The World Bank approved the concept of partnership with Ukraine for 5 years

The financial support of the World Bank within the framework of the concept will depend on Ukraine’s progress in implementing reforms, improving the results of the WB portfolio in Ukraine, the overall credit capacity of the World Bank and the lending standard for Ukraine
The Board of Directors of the World Bank approved the concept of partnership with Ukraine for 2017-2021, aimed at promoting a sustainable and comprehensive recovery of our country’s economy.

As reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance, the concept is based on assessments of the World Bank experts conducted in March 2017, and contains a medium-term plan for supporting the World Bank reforms carried out by the Ukrainian authorities. The concept provides for such areas of partnership as public finance management and public administration reform, anti-corruption activities, fiscal risk management and public investment, financial sector strengthening, infrastructure improvement, equal partnership in the private sector, land reform, health care reform, privatization, social assistance.

The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides financial and technical assistance to developing countries. Over the past two years, the World Bank Group has provided Ukraine with about $ 4.7 billion in the form of budgetary financial assistance, investment transactions and private sector financing.
